About the score

What Your LooksRank Means

Your LooksRank comes from head-to-head comparisons made by real people. Statistical modeling turns their choices into a measure of relative attractiveness within LooksRanked, rather than an AI attractiveness prediction.

Early scores are provisional. Your score can change as more comparisons are collected; more valid comparisons generally mean greater statistical precision.

Frequently asked questions

Common Questions

Is LooksRanked free?

You can compare faces for free and earn credits through credit-eligible comparisons. Earn 30 credits to activate your photo for ranking.

Does AI determine my LooksRank?

No. Your LooksRank is based on comparisons made by real people. Statistical modeling combines those human choices into a score; AI does not make the attractiveness judgments that determine it.

Why does my LooksRank change?

Scores update as new comparisons are collected across the ranking system. Early scores are provisional, and more valid comparisons generally make the estimate more precise. A changing score reflects new evidence.

How many comparisons do I need?

Earn credits with each eligible comparison until you have the 30 credits needed to activate your photo. During initial reliability qualification, credits stay pending: passing releases them, while failure or timeout earns none. These are votes you cast on other people’s photos.

Comparisons your photo receives are separate: other people compare your photo to generate and refine your LooksRank. Casting 30 votes does not mean your photo has received 30 comparisons, or guarantee a final score.

Who can see my photo?

Photos active in comparisons can be viewed by people using the site, including visitors who are not signed in. Photos may also be visible on public profiles and leaderboards.

You can manage your public profile, displayed age, and displayed gender in Privacy & visibility settings. Turning off your public profile does not make a photo that is active in comparisons private. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
